Responsible for all new business / business partnerships - OEM / ODM business including the core range of fully built-in (kitchen integrated) microwave ovens, unit / factory leasing and storage / warehousing solutions for the 27 acre (10.7 hectares) site in North Wales.

Head of Marketing and Product Planning for Built-In (kitchen integrated) Microwave Ovens and Crystalline PV Solar Panels manufactured in North Wales. Concurrently responsible for the Marketing and Sales at Sharp Precision Manufacturing (UK) Limited, supplier of precision pressed ferrous and non-ferrous parts to the consumer and automotive industries.

Responsible for the Product Planning and Marketing of Video Cassette Recorders, Microwave ovens and Plain Paper Photo Copiers manufactured in North Wales. This involved specifying product requirements, fitting market expectations and consumer needs. During this time I represented Sharp Manufacturing on the Technical Committee at BREMA, later Intellect UK, now Tech UK.

Responsible for New Business Development for European Consumer Products. Most of my time was spent in Asia and the Far East, particularly Japan, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. I demonstrated my strength in working well with staff having different cultures and business expectations. I delivered a number of projects which strengthened the company's technical platform and realised the targeted USPs for the commercial team.

Development of VHS Video Cassette Recorders in partnership with JVC Japan. Frequent business meetings in Japan at a detailed technical level - multi-company projects covering a diverse range of working cultures. Complex project management difficulties were addressed and overcome.
