Philip Cassel, a managing director at Cassel Salpeter & Co., uses his experience in consulting and private equity to contribute to the team and assist in all areas of the firm, from financial analysis to advisory services.In his years with the firm, Philip has guided clients through M&A and capital raise transactions across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, consumer products and services, manufacturing, technology, and more. He has worked with companies in both healthy and distressed situations, including assisting debtors through bankruptcy proceedings.Prior to joining Cassel Salpeter, he worked for Rialto Capital, pioneering the finance group and assisting with the management of a real estate private equity fund. He has also worked at Alvarez & Marsal in the Turnaround and Restructuring Group, where he participated in restructuring projects in the telecommunications, mining, and manufacturing industries, including working onsite at the largest telecommunications company in the Virgin Islands. He handled cash flow modeling, budget planning, court filings, distressed M&A, and claims management. He also played an intricate role in the sale process of several entities and assisted with the investigation of potential fraud.Philip earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Cambridge, MA.
