• For my dissertation, I analyzed shoreline management under climate change uncertainty. The model was based on a stochastic dynamic program (SDP), which included Bayesian analysis to update the transition probabilities of climate change. To understand the value of gathering more information on climate change, I assessed the expected value of information as a function of one's prior belief in climate change. • As a research assistant, I developed a systems dynamic model of Great Lakes water resource management. The purpose of the model was to analyze the economic effects of climate change upon hydropower, shore protection and shipping. The model was comprised of a hydraulic mass balance model of the Lake's water levels tied econometric models. The outputs of the model were used at climate change planning workshops with the International Joint Commission, the bi-national organization to for managing Great Lakes natural resources.
