Prior to his retirement on November 30, 2012,Philip E. Frigm, CCS served as Manager, Specifications for JDB Engineering, Inc. (and the partner companies of the Nutec Group) and had been with the company since 1995. He had 44 years experience in mechanical design and specifications development. A disabled veteran of the Vietnam War (U.S. Marine Corps), Phil was a Certified Construction Specifier through the Construction Specifications Institute – a certification that he has held from 1986 until retirement. Phil was very active with the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, having served as chair of the Certification Committee, a proctor for CSI's national certification exams, and most recently, a "technical" contributor to the chapter's monthly newsletter. He was also a recipient of the Rolf Loddengaard Award from the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of CSI for more than 20 years service to the chapter. In the community, Phil is past president of the board of directors for the Arc of York County and is an avid fan of the York Revolution minor league baseball team – he and his wife have hosted several players in their home since 2007. In 2009, Phil was recognized on the floor of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives for military service. Phil was named the recipient of the 2010 "Service to Mankind" award presented by the Sertoma Club of York County (PA) at the Sertoma Club's annual award banquet on January 30, 2011. Phil was involved with all aspects of contract documents for commercial, industrial, institutional, and governmental projects and had played a role in most of the major projects designed by the Nutec Group over the past 17+ years.In retirement, Phil plans to stay active with local York County (PA) veterans groups.Specialties: Certified Construction Specifier, contract documents, specifications
