Phil Klein is with Klein Public Affairs - a consultant for multiple Fortune 500 companies. Previously, Executive Vice President for Legislative and Public Affairs for the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) for 29 years. In addition, co-chaired the Pria Coalition along with NRDC and Farm Worker Justice. Over the years, Phil worked with NGOs and found policy solutions on PRIA, Ingredient disclosure, air fresheners, inhalation abuse, antifreeze, aerosol recycling and Safer/DfE Choice. Spearheaded landmark legislation with Natural Resources Defense Council on the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act of 2004 (PRIA), 2008 (PRIA II), and 2012 (PRIA III and IV); Incorporated and secured CSPA/NGO enhancements on ingredient disclosure in EPA’s Design for the Environment Program which led to CSPA being named EPA Safer Choice Partner of the year for 2015 and 2016; Developed policy and passed antifreeze legislation with the U.S. Humane Society in 17 states. This effort culminated with CSPA winning the US Humane Society Henry Spira Award on Corporate Progress; Managed successfully air freshener petition with EPA and NGO community finding viable solution on ingredient disclosure; Worked with ACE and the Minnesota Twins on inhalation abuse education program; Worked with Capitol Hill and EPA on West Nile virus, H1N1, Ebola and other emerging pathogens issues;
