I am very passionate and dedicated to improving the built environment around us and work hard to bring a meaningful contribution to our broader community. I am committed to my work at Gresley Abas Architects where I enjoy guiding and shaping the client experience with a newfound focus on future visioning. My work has given me experience in collaborating with public and private clients for more than two decades – across a range of project types from housing typologies to multi-residential to community facilities and infrastructure to large-scale urban design projects. This critical cross-scales experience has given me the ability to formulate considered outcomes and understand the broad implications of actions from human to civic scales. I am dedicated to closing the gap to Aboriginal people, wherever possible. This includes the implementation of the Gresley Abas RAP, cultural awareness training for our staff and an ongoing commitment through both our project work and my own life in the community to deliver better quality lives to all Aboriginal people. I actively work to foster a better understanding of the importance of Country and our connection to it. Outside work, I chair the selection committee for the EG Cohen Medal which awards annual prizes to architecture graduates who exemplify selflessness in their work. Growing from this work, along with some passionate past medal winners and volunteer professionals have formed Cohen Connect, an NFP expanding these values of ‘giving back’ to the profession and the wider community.
