Over the course of this year, I guided the writing of the self-study report for the teacher education programs through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), achieved accreditation for the Reading Specialist and Structured Literacy programs, and pursued accreditation for the MS in Counseling Psychology program. Three new programs were created, including the Master’s Degree in Cyber Investigations and Intelligence, a 3+2 Bachelor’s to Master’s program in Counseling Psychology, and an Infant/Toddler Certificate program. I also increased fundraising, applied for half a million dollars in grants (over $150,000 received; most still outstanding), and assisted a faculty member in winning a Fulbright fellowship. A number of admissions initiatives resulted in strong class of incoming freshmen. During the year the school hosted a Rooney International Scholar and an RMU Presidential Scholar-in-Residence, and sponsored ten events, including a CEO Lecture Series, Career Exploration Launch, and the 30th Annual Teaching Economics Conference.
