    The Smart Farms project is a Stirlings to Coast Farmers initiative that introduces a wide range of technology, sensors and digital tools into Agriculture, with the ultimate aim to improve and advance farming operations towards decision agriculture. Three demonstration sites have been established within the Albany Port Zone, covering a range of enterprise types from feed lotting and stud operations, to mixed crop/livestock operations and 100% dedicated grains/oilseed productions. Satellite sites have been developed in conjunction with the three demonstration farms, to create a wider, connected region.Some of my role currently includes: - AgTech & IoT design, installation & on-farm implementation- WiFi & Radio [LPWAN] network design & management- Investigation & research into current IoT devices available that will positively contribute to on-farm decision making.- Design, installation & implementation of these technologies in real farming businesses, and road-testing current equipment.- Creation of training, print and electronic media for information dissemination to growers within the region.- Manage project funding, milestones and reporting requirements of relevant funders.
