My practice is focused on the transportation industry, primarily trucking accidents and wrongful death claims. I also have broad experience in claims involving premises liability, consumer bad faith, deceptive trade practices, dealership defense, residential construction, and general commercial litigation.

Attended court every day, negotiating pleas with defense attorneys and taking pleas from defendants in front of Judge Bill Harmon. Also, I contacted witnesses and obtained evidence needed to prosecute the cases.I obtained my third-year bar card, which allowed me to practice law under the supervision of a licensed attorney. This gave me the opportunity to try a misdemeanor prostitution case sitting first chair. I picked the jury during voir dire, conducted an opening statement, directed and cross examined witnesses, and conducted closing argument. When the jury returned a guilty verdict, I won my first trial - while still in law school.

I reviewed case files to prepare orders and reports for the Judge. I attended as many trials as possible to study federal procedure and learn successful litigation techniques. I also researched the admissibility of brain analyzing technology in courts for Judge Manske to use in a seminar.

During the summer of 2007, I worked for Pace Global in the Finance Department. I researched oil & gas and other energy companies to determine their value for our clients' aqcuisition. I also analyzed salt dome gas storage facilities around the country to create a database of regional prices.During the summer of 2008, I worked in the Legal Department of Pace Global. I analyzed every confidentiality agreement that the company had with its clients to create an easy-access database for employees to use. I also prepared, analyzed, and negotiated contracts with clients.
