Design and improvement of new and existing fire fighting apparatuses, including valves, sprinklers, and foam dispersal devices.Laboratory testing with approval agencies including UL, FM, and LPCB to prove compliance with standards and local laws.Prototyping of fittings using 3D printing and injection molding.Patent reading and refinement with company patent lawyer.Designing mathematical models to simulate pipe loss in non-Newtonian media from existing in-house test data and manufacturer viscosity-strain rate curves.Updating of models and drawings to standards of companyRefining company standards to improve workflow.Researching existing literature for novel methods of testing, design, and simulation.Refining manufacturing and tooling methods in conjunction with in-house machinist.Presenting new ideas to management and team members for new products and processes.

Deliver a high-level positive experience in all customer interactions• Interact frequently with customers to interpret their needs and requirements and presentthese to operations/production and management• Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, andperformance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates• Support the company’s sales team including outside manufacturer’s representatives asneeded in order to generate sales for all Incab products in the USA• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standardsand specifications• Perform overall quality control of project work (budget, schedule, plans, personnelperformance) and report regularly on project status• Cooperate and communicate effectively with management and all project participants inorder to provide assistance and technical support as needed• Review engineering deliverables and as necessary initiate appropriate corrective actions• Support the company’s operations/production team as needed in order to improve overallefficiency, ensure the company meets its delivery commitments, reduce costs, and meetcustomer expectations for quality and product performance• Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, andregulations• Maintain project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations• Perform other duties as assigned by the company’s management team
