Product Manager for international network connectivity and security products for building heterogen, international VPNs over Internet.

Responsible for the development of new services and the implementation of the corresponding infrastructure as a project manager in the marketing department. Introduced services:Service Level Agreements (SLA) for business data products. This included the set-up of contracts and technical systems such as a Web-based performance reporting system, interfaces to several IT systems, billing, considering OSS & BSS infrastructure and implementing the business processes.Other services introduced are Class of Service (IP VPN service qualities) and IP traffic encryption for secure applications. Also worked on Voice over IP analysis and other VPN enhancements.

Responsible for Truck Loading robot control software (design, implementation, test) for ALUSAF (aluminium industry, South Africa). Performed market analysis for Truck Loading application in Switzerland. Gantry robot production optimisation. Built Internet site describing gantry robot and system options to customers.

Conducted research on autonomous robot navigation in unknown environments. Supervised student semester projects in robot control.Before the PhD, Development engineer, Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne:Implementation of a minesweeping robot for anti-personnel mines at the Microprocessor and Interface Laboratory. Experimented with various sensors for autonomous robot navigation.

Developed, produced and supported a CD-Changer system for data storage using 777 CDs and 35 CD-readers in parallel. Main client: Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, Bern.
