Real-Time Electrical Engineering Technical Writer And Trainer
CurrentResponsible for the documentation and training for predictive and real-time studies for the reliable operation of the Bulk Electrical System (BES). Currently serving as both a technical writer and trainer for the Real-Time Electrical Engineers.As a technical writer duties include the development of procedures, guidelines, operating plans, and additional documentation necessary for real time reliability studies. Duties also include preparing detailed reports using available information from historical data, digital recording relays, metering, and data from other utilities. Serve as a real-time engineering advisor. Trains, utilizing a systematic approach to training per NERC PER-005, and mentors real-time electrical engineers in the areas of compliance, real time state estimation, and constrained path or flow gate management.Responsible for the documentation, organization, and coordination of applicable compliance requirements. Coordinate issues with compliance personnel to maintain, implement, and improve compliance reporting processes regarding regulatory agencies such as FERC, NERC, and Regional Entity. Recommend procedures to eliminate or prevent sanctions for non-performance or non-compliance.Duties also includes representing Western, as a real-time engineering expert on various committees, task forces, working groups, or other advisory groups.
