In this role, I worked with all design leads on the team to coordinate and enhance data collection and analysis techniques.As 2015 aerodynamics design lead, I redesigned the carbon fiber undertray, a device that utilized the "ground effect" to generate downforce. I worked with SolidWorks CAD and Autodesk computational fluid dynamics software to design and analyze the system. I also developed "wet layup" techniques to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Undegraduate Research Assistant
I worked as an undergraduate researcher in Prof. Jonathan Pober's radio astronomy lab at Brown University. My research used statistical methods to characterize one of the first sky signals detected by the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA). My research was published on the team website as HERA Memorandum #26 (see attached). I also presented a poster at the 229th American Astronomical Society meeting in January 2017, and gave a 15-minute talk at the NASA/RI Space Grant Consortium Spring Symposium.
