- Provides direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual/family/ group therapy/counseling, and crisis interventions to assigned individuals within the district(s).- Provides services on-district sites and off-site to include the client’s home and community network (as required).- Maintains regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client.- Completes master treatment plans, treatment plan updates, and required authorizationsbased upon IEPs provided by the district.- Attends regularly scheduled, ad-hoc, and emergency staff meetings, and IEP Team meetings.- Provides consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues as requested/needed, including classroom observations and appropriate adjustment of goals.- Assists in the development of parent education and provides training/support for parents. - Develops and coordinates social skills and support groups for students (as needed).- Participates in the collection of mental health resources and IEP data collection/progress reports used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided.- Attends and provides appropriate staff in-service training.- Provides complete and timely documentation for all services rendered.- Furnishes required reports to the Department of Child & Family Services (DCFS), legal system, and other involved agencies. Bright Research Group is a research, evaluation, and capacity-building firm led by women of color that works with systems seeking to advance racial justice through authentic partnerships with impacted communities.

- Prepares, organizes, and conducts strategic plans in coordination with city departments- Collaborates with community-based organizations to highlight advocacy efforts in public safety, housing, civic engagement, education, and employment services- Tracks legislation and writes technical reports on an as-needed basis- Writes reports, letters, agendas, and minutes for public meetings - Provides staff assistance to citizen advisory bodies, committees, and commissions- Engages in program development processes for youth programming opportunities for Oakland and Alameda County youth - Experience working closely with City Council, the Mayor’s office, and government agencies- Project manages subcommittee output and oversees multiple teams of youth leaders - Facilitates a youth-led space that allows youth to be key stakeholders in social justice issues, policy advocacy, and program development - Co-leads and manages a team of up to 17 youth which make up a governing commission for the City of Oakland

The SJC Fellowship is an ongoing effort to integrate and strengthen partnerships with impacted people into change efforts that will safely reduce the local jail population and eliminate racial disparities. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with local partners at Bright Research Group, designed and facilitated a 6-month fellowship that brought people with lived experiences into the SJC partners’ justice reform efforts.

- Led projects conducting participatory action research, produced a client survey, distributed it, collected data, and presented it to providers- Clinically supervised one-on-one by program manager of family and transitional housing- Collaborated with community providers and programs to accomplish tasks and get feedback on goals and operations for the organization - Helped with planning, development, and opening of Adult and Transitional Aged Youth Navigation Centers- Developed visual media for the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing projects- Conducted administrative and data analysis skills within the program systems and databases- Facilitated meetings with clients and members of the community to receive input on their experience and housing needs
