Philipp Reisert Email and Phone Number
Cambridge, St. Gallen, Munich, Pforzheim: my professional career has taken me to many places, for many years now. In my hometown Pforzheim, I have now been allowed to continue telling the story of my family for many years as part of C.Hafner. This history is closely linked to the region. That’s why, as a family business, we take responsibility not only for our employees and work, but also for our region and the environment. We have been working at the Pforzheim site since 1850, gaining a wealth of experience that makes us one of the leading companies in the field of precious metal technology. The cornerstone of this success is our team of experts in the fields of analysis, development, process, and production technology. Together, we work every day to offer our customers and the environment added value through technological leadership. After all, one of the greatest challenges of our time is the responsible use of our planet’s resources. Of course, this also applies to precious metals. And today, they’re not only found in the earth: Over 200,000 tons have already been ‘mined’ and can be found, for example, in our jewelry and electrical appliances. By recovering these valuable raw materials, i.e. ‘urban mining’, we are closing the material cycle while also making an important contribution to climate protection. This is because recycling precious metals from local sources has significantly lower CO2 emissions than extraction from conventional sources. Through continuous process optimization, the use of renewable energies and the solely recycling of precious metals from secondary sources, some of our products are already certified as climate neutral - even up to Scope 3! Therefore, today we can proudly say: We are the world’s first precious metals refinery to offer CO2-neutral gold. And that is just the beginning. Every day, we continue to work on making our entire company CO2-neutral – and not just in the recycling sector. And we invest in certified climate protection projects. In this way, we not only reduce our own CO2 footprint. We also sustainably improve the environmental balance of all subsequent products made from our precious metals. Accompany C.Hafner and me on our way!
