Joined Scrintal as the first Product Designer, leading and establishing design processes, and taking the product from 0 → 1.Scrintal is an infinite canvas app that gives users the possibility to place a variety of blocks (text, headings, media, etc.) on a board to brainstorm, think freely, and write. The work cumulated and resulted in the Playground for the Mind, a single place to enjoy a seamless transition between thinking, writing, and sharing.Over the course of 2022 to 2024 I led the whole design processes at Scrintal, taking the product from an early alpha to a public version. I led the user interview processes, worked on the overall product development and product discovery, as well as regularly taking part in product discussions, and closely collaborating with the CEO, CTO, Product Manager, and Engineers.Besides that, to take Scrintal from beta to public launch, I created a brand and visual identity from the ground up, including the design of a new logo, deciding on brand colors and typography, as well as creating a new website, and assets to communicate its product and features across different marketing channels.

I have been a privacy advocate for quite some time. Within my newsletter Creativerly, I regularly share, highlight, and write about privacy-focused, open-source, or end-to-end encrypted apps and tools. Privacy is a fundamental human right, and it is essential for individuals to have control over their personal data. With the proliferation of technology, data privacy has become an increasingly pressing issue, and individuals have a right to know how their data is collected, used, and shared.I often wondered why people opt for big tech companies like Google and Microsoft over the more privacy-focused and secure open-source, end-to-end encrypted apps. I came to the conclusion that most people do so due to their familiarity with the services, in addition to convenience. Setting up a Gmail account, composing a Google Doc and sharing it, as well as searching for something on Google are all straightforward and require minimal effort. Furthermore, Google is often integrated with other services, increasing its convenience even more. Additionally, Google has almost a monopoly with apps like Chrome being the default browser on many devices and Google Search being the default search engine in many alternative browsers.There are many tools that take user privacy and data seriously, are open source, and/or use end-to-end encryption. To increase the visibility of these hidden gems, I created a directory website to showcase them. The result is Priductive.Many apps out there collect data beyond their main functions. There is no reason for note-taking, project management, task management, or any other productivity tool to access your notes, projects, tasks, and other personal information.

Built, launched, and grew a weekly newsletter about creativity and productivity-boosting tools and resources, combined with useful articles, insights, and findings from the fields of design and tech, to over 2000 subscribers, and ultimately turned it into a publication consisting of the newsletter itself, a blog, and an interview series featuring creative minds from different creative fields.

Since 2014 I have been working and collaborating with creative minds from the fields of music publishing, event management, interior design, web3, VC, SaaS, and more to design and create analogue media like posters, brochures, books, magazines, as well as websites, social media assets, and apps and digital experiences.

Joined the awesome iTranslate Team as the second Product Designer, worked on the translation apps across all platforms with a main focus on Android. Designed the iTranslate Android Keyboard, Dark Mode for iTranslate Android, created the Typeright Logo and was part of a whole new product launch for that, redesigned the complete iTranslate Android App following Material You Guidelines, and more.
