The missing link is often a pragmatic pharmacist. I myself am a tough sparring partner in challenging any product, idea or strategy for the german healthcare market. Having great insights in different health care systems (Germany, UK, Switzerland and USA). Being an expert on medication, unitdose, marketing, logistics retail and medication therapy managment I can offer insight into how the German healthcare system is failing to solve simple problems.I run one of the most innovative independent pharmacies in Germany. My biggest asset and inspiration are my patients I care for every day, their stories and sometimes their cruel fate due to lack of interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare experts. After founding my pharmacy in 2012 I implemented Unit Dose Medication in homecare, as well as woundcare in my community. My team and I are focusing on medication therapy managment and easy interdisciplinary communication. During the corona pandemic, we produced over 25.000L of disinfection agent locally, had the first mobile vaccination bus up an running to care about patients without a doctor or residence. In total wetested over 15.000 patients and ran one of the most effective vaccination center. Still the biggest challange today is to compile contextualized health datasets op patients and also to empower the patient, providing transparency and a trustworthy ecosystem. I strongly believe that patients must decide with data they share and with whom. EHealth can only be embraced if the patient has the freedom of choice and without getting pressure. In our daily work, my team observes that patients are suffering from unnecessary adverse drug reactions, unnecessary hospitalization and sometimes even die due to the simple lack of information and communications between actors in the healthcare system.I am proud to be the leader of multiple wonderful teams, who constantly challange today's healthcare system deficiencies with new ideas, concepts and answers. We cannot wait to implement Ai to reduce our burocratic work load. I believe the missing link needed is often a pragmatic pharmacist!
