In particular, specialising in quantitative risk assessments, thermal radiation impacts, fire engulfment modelling, fire and gas detector optimisation and emergency evacuation analysis. I have worked on a wide variety of projects using in-house software, meeting with clients and managing multiple tasks in order to deliver safety studies to a defined schedule. Although most of my work is for the oil and gas industry I have also worked on fire safety projects within the nuclear and rail industries. While in post I have completed training in project management, presented to new graduates at the in-house major hazards course, been involved in graduate recruitment fairs and completed the ‘Steps to Excellence’ programme which aims to develop skills such as time management, budgeting and key client management.
