After University I found a summer job at the Hurtwood Hotel as a chambermaid. I was soon asked to also take on roles as a waitress and receptionist, in this last role I have particularly gained more responsibilities including taking bookings, dealing with check-in and check-out and providing guests with information.

Newcastle-Under-Lyme

In 2014 I volunteered at Newcastle-under-Lyme Museum and put together an exhibition on Newcastle-under-Lyme during the First World War, for the centenary. My work involved using the Museum’s catalogues and databases to put together a spread sheet of the Museum’s WWI objects and organising the exhibition.

Dorking

I worked on Saturday and Wednesday evening, plus additional hours during peak times or to cover staff absences. My main task was working at the checkouts, but I was also involved in quickly re-stocking, facing shelves and successfully delivering customer service. My responsibilities were to the customers, the product, working with trading standards and keeping the front of the shop clean.
