Samoa

I started working with Netball Samoa as part of the Australian Youth Ambassador for Development Program. I have since extended my assignment with the organisation and am now under the Australian Volunteers for International Development program.- Designed and implemented corporate strategies, policies and procedures;- Increased local netball administration capacity to build a qualified network of staff and volunteers capable of supporting the programs and activities of Netball Samoa;- Sourced and secured sponsorship and funding opportunities;- Identified opportunities for collaboration, and linking in with existing government and international programs; - Planned and delivered development clinics in urban and rural areas;- Promoted and developed of a wide range of training, competitions and events at all levels that will form clear and coherent development pathways for players, coaches, umpires and officials;- Created effective communication systems with stakeholders, clubs, coaches, schools and villages to develop best practice in coaching and player development and to resolve issues such as resources and access to the sport;- Provided support for the Netball Samoa Executive;- Assisted training and developing the Assistant Coaches and players of the National Netball team and the National U21 and U19 Netball Teams;- Created and implemented netball development resources compatible with education systems in Samoa;- Developed and implemented National training programs, school holiday programs and village programs;- Designed, constructed and maintained the Netball Samoa website http://www.netballsamoa.ws;- Developed and maintained the Netball Samoa Facebook page and Twitter page; - Consulted with specialist marketing personnel to develop the brand values and brand marks for Netball Samoa and assisted in the website and brand refresh launch.
