Responsible for the architecture of the Cathedral Hotels brand, its development and championing the brand ethos with all stakeholders. I am also responsible for the PR and Marketing campaigns, the curation of a cultural calendar of events and the adherence of company's 8 abiding principals across the business.This is a two/three day a week job that I run alongside Shaker Communications.

Freelance PR services for a variety of clients including exhibitions, The Tidworth Polo Club and various building related clients. Freelance status allowed me to work around having two babies and my husband's commitments as an Army Officer.

Worked with a team lead by The Managing Editor to introduce new technology to the editorial departments. This was a challenging project requiring the production of the newspaper to continue uninterrupted as each editorial department switched to computers to produce the paper. It also called for negotiation with relevant Trade Unions as the switch impacted significantly on their work practices.

I started at Rolls-Royce as a floating junior secretary before securing a permanent role in the Public Affairs department. After two years in that job I moved to become Personnel and Administration Assistant and offered the opportunity to study for the Institute of Personnel Manager qualifications on a half day release. My 7 years at Rolls-Royce formed me from a 17 year old junior to a 24 year old woman with experience of international business at the highest, air shows and symposiums. I could relate to the captains of industry and manage the post boy. When university degrees were for the elite, this experience set the pattern for my future career.
