Philippa founded Melbourne-based Film Camp in 2004. Her debut short 'Clara' (Van Sowerwine and Isobel Knowles) won the Palme d’Or Jury Special Mention at Cannes 2005, the Gold Hugo at Chicago and screened at Sundance. She has since produced award-winning documentaries including theatrical features ‘murundak: Songs of Freedom' (2011) and 'Bastardy' (2008), which both won numerous international and Australian awards, screened extensively at festivals, and enjoyed successful theatrical releases and TV broadcasts. They continue to screen internationally today. Other documentaries include 'Words from the City' (2007, nominated for five AFI-Awards), 'The Fibros and the Silvertails' (2007, AWGIE winner) and ‘The Archive Project’ (2009). Philippa’s feature drama ‘Galore’ (Rhys Graham) premiered internationally at Berlinale 2014, and that year Philippa also produced part of the portmanteau feature ‘The Turning’. Most recently Philippa’s documentary/drama ‘The Face of Ukraine: Casting Oksana Baiul’ (Kitty Green) premiered at Sundance 2015, winning the Short Film Jury award for Non-Fiction and has screened at 50+ international festivals. Philippa was SPA’s Independent Documentary Producer of the Year (2008); Film Victoria’s Greg Tepper Award winner (2009); and is an inaugural recipient of Film Victoria’s Natalie Miller Fellowship Women in Leadership Fellowship (2016) and the NMF Brilliant Careers Leadership Program (2017).
