During my time here I was given the overall responsibility for the bank branch's vaults and all the pay desks. As financial advisor I sold short-, middle- and long-term savings products as well as insurances. Working in Munich's busiest branch meant I learnt how to deal with a large number of customers efficiently but without lowering the level of my service towards them.

Despite not being able to speak German when I started this job, I studied to be a bank clerk and financial advisor, a two-year course, which I passed with flying colours. Once completed I continued to work at the bank in the numismatic department where I was responsible for invoicing, handling the accounts and serving customers as well as for the smooth-running of the annual auction.

With just a job contract I packed two suitcases and moved from England to Munich, Germany.Walked the length and breadth of Munich (due to a public transport strike and) + found a place to live within 4 days. Taught adults general and business English. Trained adults to pass the Cambridge Certificate in English.

Taught English to kids from all over the world: France, Argentina, Brazil, Thailand and Czech and Slovak Federal Republic (as it was then known). Taught without knowing the students' mother tongue.
