About Philippa Lowe

Strategic oversight for Place based services My Strengths: Creative Problem Solver - Strategic Planner - Making Sense of Complexity - Navigating through Ambiguity - Collaborative Working - Leadership Coaching - Communicating with Realistic OptimismI make sense of complexity to understand problems, needs and aspirations, actively listening to get to know a place, its strengths, assets and challenges. I work in partnership sharing ideas to co-create better and more sustainable solutions, achieving more by working collaboratively. My strengths based approach to collaborative working enables us all to be at our best. I apply my experience and skills as a Chartered Town Planner to support the development of strategies for the area, including actions to address local needs and efforts to tackle climate change and deliver sustainable benefits for communities and the local economy. I am flexible and agile, quick to refocus my efforts in response to changing context and the need to refocus priorities. I am naturally curious; thriving in an environment where innovation and creativity is nurtured and confidence is built around test and learn. I apply collaborative and coaching style of leadership to motivate and empower staff, building capabilities and focusing energies to where they will make most difference. I am highly perceptive and take a keen interest in the wellbeing of colleagues.Outside work I love walking and being close to nature. I play Violin and Viola working alongside some truly inspiring musicians to pioneer live and virtual approaches to performance, to make the magic of classical music inclusive and accessible to all.
