Currently working in the private sector as a Paramedic. I had previously undertaken 2 years of nursing and a further 2 years of education at university to return to the medical field. Through the experience of studying paramedicine I have further undertaken volunteer opportunities in the community, providing endless opportunities of experience and knowledge. I have previously undertaken coaching roles in badminton and athletics, as well as worked for the South Australian Cricket Association. This built my confidence in effective communication and 'out of the box thinking' which further enhanced my skill set in paramedicine. Colleagues at university and work know me as trusted and a valuable member of the team. Patient and client advocacy has always been my first priority, providing the best care and most positive outcomes. I spend time understanding different circumstances, and further evaluating them to undertake best current practice. I often do well working alone, however, my best work comes when collaborating with others.My passion for health creates a versatile and interesting lifestyle. I take pride in helping the community and believing in providing the best outcomes for patients. Sometimes they only need an ear, which can be the opportunity to for their life to turn around. This is where I see and can provide the most growth in the paramedicine and overall allied health system.
