As a full-time manager, I led a team of two quality engineers and one quality inspector in developing, documenting, and directing the quality plan and process from NPI through production of military and commercial avionics products manufactured by this global leader in embedded computing technology. I managed internal and external relationships across disciplines, determined customer quality requirements flow-down, assured internal compliance, and managed ISO 90001:2008 Quality Management System compliance audits during third-party registrar audits.I served as customer quality interface for military accounts ranging in value from $4M to $15M with Raytheon, L-3 Communications, Goodrich Aerospace, Boeing, and Hamilton Sundstrand. I led root cause analysis and improved processes and design for manufacturability of the Raytheon/Boeing P-8A radar system. I also led root cause analysis and product improvement of a Row 44 modem data unit (MDU) and Server management unit (SMU) system by improving power supply and Ethernet switch reliability and design for manufacturability of the Raytheon/Boeing P-8A radar system. I led a successful lean-manufacturing project for the Raytheon multi-spectral targeting system 3U enclosure, used in General Atomics’ MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft. I became known as an expert at interpreting and implementing Raytheon Quality Notes flow-down and compliance and led Kontron from a supplier rating of 73% to 95% sustained SRS Score over 12 months in 2013.
