Grimaldi Lines is a shipping pioneer of the RoRo. Twenty years ago, Grimaldi chose Dakar as hub in Africa. Yara Benin, group of Norsk Hydro and based in Cotonou, is a small fertilizer company of 109 employees. 13.000 K€ of turnover, the bagging factory provides the raw materials for the crop production of cotton and fruits.Key responsibilities: Managed a permanent team of 2 managers and 87 employeesRedefined the manufacturing processesManaged the discharging and bagging operation for the bulk fertilizerReduced to 30% the operational and distribution costsManaged the wastage on below 0.8% with new working instructions (security, cleaning and global process)Chartering bulk carrier Key achievements: Redefined the strategy of procurement and distribution with Abidjan factory as supplier

Hydrochem C.I, group Norsk Hydro, is the biggest factory in West Africa. Based in Abidjan, Hydrochem is a Norwegian company with 360 employees producing the fertilizer for the Ivory Cost and neighbouring countries (Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana).Key responsibilities: Managed 25 permanents employees and 180 temporariesIncreased the production volume per day Increased the rate of discharge from 1.500 to 2.500 MT per dayImplemented the quality control system through the new processManaged the demurrage and claims Redefined the manufacturing processes for the bulk blendingDeveloped new policies and standard procedures to improve the working environmentEnsured the Norwegian policies in term of quality, safety and focused service.
