I am Chairman of the Harrow Club, a longstanding youth club anchored in the local community working with some of the most marginalised young people in North Kensington. Through creative, cutting edge projects delivered through an experienced, committed team of youth workers working with specialist partners, we provide learning opportunities, routes to employment and critically increased resilience and wellbeing for young people aged 8 to 21.I have been a partner of Slaughter and May from 1989 to 2024 with extensive experience of competition law with expertise in merger, cartel and other investigations in Europe and more widely. I have been recognised as an Eminent Practitioner by Chambers and a Hall of Fame leading individual by Legal 500. I am also recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal.I was responsible for the running and development of the firm’s global competition practice for over 10 years, including through our Beijing and Hong Kong offices and 'best friend' firms.I was also Founder and President of the European Competition Lawyers Forum, which has been established for over 25 years and engages with the European Commission on a regular basis on competition policy issues.
