Current positionPhilippe-Richard J. Domeyer is an Academic Tutor of Health Management at the Hellenic Open University since 2013, Treasurer and Executive Board member of Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE), National Representative of Greece of the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN), and President of Primary Care Diabetes Greece (PCDG). He is also a Consultant General Practitioner in the Greek National Health System.Qualifications and backgroundPhilippe is a specialist in General Practice/Family Medicine. He holds an MSc Degree in Health Management and an MSc Degree in Biostatistics. He also holds a PhD Degree from the University of Athens in the academic field of quality of life and healthcare quality. Philip has received post-graduate training in numerous scientific fields, such as Breast Diseases, Emergency Medicine, Substance Abuse, Pulmonary Medicine, Diabetes Mellitus and Quality in Healthcare. He has earned 4 scholarships during his studies as well as panhellenic rewards and credits for his research work. He holds 15 foreign languages degrees and is proficient in Greek (native language), French (native language), English, German and has a basic knowledge of Swedish.TeachingPhilippe has taught a variety of subjects, including -but not limited to- Healthcare Management, Family Medicine, Anatomy and Physiology to more than 1200 students of various Universities and Technological Institutions in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also supervised more than 70 Thesis projects related to Healthcare Management.Clinical and Research WorkPhilippe has more than 15 years of experience in the Greek NHS. He is the author and co-author of more than 60 research manuscripts (full papers / abstracts) in Scientific Journals and has presented his work in numerous National and International Conferences. He has taken part in international research protocols and funded research projects. He is an Editorial Board Member, a Lead Guest Editor and a Reviewer in several international Journals. MembershipPhilippe is a member of major international and national professional bodies and associations, such as WONCA, AAFP, EHMA, EQuiP and EURACT.
