The Strategy, Transformation & Performance function leads the transformation projects from conception to implementation, develops the digital strategy, reinforces the Performance and Lean Management System, steers the Operational Experience dynamic, coordinates the management of processes, manages the Pricing department and ensures the fleet management (650 trucks, 6000 cars, 1200 motorcycles, 2000 electric cycles, 1000 bicycles)

MSO was at this time organized in three operational departments. Sorting was one of these operational departments and regrouped all mail and parcels sorting activities in Belgium. The sorting department was located in 5 sites (Anvers, Brussel, Charleroi, Ghent, Liège) and employed approximately 3000 FTE

Liège is one of the 5 sorting centers in Belgium that employed 300 FTEs and was responsible for sorting mail (letters and parcels) for the provinces of Liege and Luxembourg

Kessales is the annealing (heat treatment) department of ArcelorMittal in Liège. At that time, it employed 250 FTEs. The improvements and innovations made to this plant have positioned it among the key plants of the ArceloMittal group. The restoration of trust with the social partners and the implementation of a dynamic based on the well-being and valorisation of the employees were decisive elements in positively meeting the challenges of this plant

Within the Upstream Department, the Iron Unit regrouped all the operational activities related to Iron production (2 blast furnaces, 1 sinter-plant, ore handling, iron railway transport) and employed 500 people

This function ensured the deployment of the Lean Management System & Total Productive Management, the combined ISO certification and the EFQM within the Upstream Department
