Moved to Development project about a graphical component that monitors application events in an OpenShift cluster. Events are sent to Kafka, processed by Flink jobs, published to ElasticSearch and displayed in a full stack web application. Software Factory / devops. Job consists in building products (from sources to installers), using continuous builds, automated tests, reports, etc. Use maven, ant, docker, and devops tools.I lead a build team of 3 persons, for a large world wide project of 200+ contributors, and I have also the responsibility of the infrastructure needed for the software factory.Main results: - I 'squadified' a monolithic product, replacing source dependencies by binaries, giving squads (=dev teams) more autonomy to develop their components with less constraint from other squads.- Migration of the software factory initially set on 150 random machines in USA, to a clean cloud in UK - Upgrade of the software factory: entirely converted to Docker, the factory is now portable and much easier to maintain.Project: Solve once forever these bloody dependency problems. I work (in bg) on a tool that collects and infers dependencies, to give back control of build chain and service dependencies. Who doesn't dare to delete components throws the first stone!
