Senior Principal Engineer - ElectricalManage an EPC Electrical design team of 15 team members (Canada / India): • Provide leadership and assistance for a 24/7 engineering design group consisting of local (Canada) and international High Value Execution Center (India) resources• Planning and execution of the Engineering Studies (systems, lighting, protection and controls, short circuit, arc flash, load flow, etc.) • Supervise, steward, and monitor the implementation of standards, specifications, and design philosophy for all electrical engineering deliverables.Site Engineering ManagerCoordinate discipline leads and : •Primary point of contact for all engineering related issues between the construction management team and the prime contractors•Provide technical support and engineering direction to the construction management team on various design and constructability issues (RFIs, FCNs, Field design, etc.)•Perform daily inspections of ongoing work with CMT construction coordinators and quality assurance personnel•Ensure that installation and testing procedures are within contractual compliance (Canadian Electrical Code, Client Standards, etc.)•Coordinate and resolve material and installation issues with the construction management team (Speciality items and scope of work, material specifications, etc.)•Provide support to the commissioning activities (special projects, troubleshooting, vendor interface, etc.)

Lead a team of 7 members :• Support a multiple-disciplinary team accountable for the integration planning and execution of mechanical and electrical works into the Intake and Powerhouse civil works program to enhance opportunities to de-risk the overall timeline to First Power.• Define, establish and implement the required integration strategies and plans for the works, and ensure detailed schedules required for work coordination are in-place and monitored.• Ensure clear visibility across all contractors of the overall integration sequence and work with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager to seek contractor alignment.• Define; develop and implement and administer the necessary work processes and controls for safe and efficient coordination of the works of each of M&E contractors with the activities of the main civil contractor.• Monitor, track and report against the overall integration plan. Identify deviations, risks and opportunities. Work to ensure the plan remains viable the work is executed accordingly.• Work closely with counterparts within the Project, including functional managers for HSS&ER, quality, project controls, supply chain, etc. to ensure alignment and delivery expectations are being met, ensuring regular status updates are provided on progress, and identifying potential issues requiring resolution.

Lead a team of 5 members : • Lead the daily SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) meetings• Review of daily, weekly, and monthly contractor information• Provide day to day coordination between Contractors and between Contractors and Staff in regards to short, intermediate, and long term planning.• Coordinate, review, approve and manage all site Permit to Work applications for Contractors working in the Spillway, Intake and Powerhouse• Coordinate and lead all Operations related activities (maintenance, planning, operating of plant equipment,etc)

Provided oversight of an EPC Electrical team of 90 members ( Wood Group PSN) :• Maintain close working relationship with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuity on technical aspects for acceptance of the engineering deliverables from the Engineering Contractor.• Supervise the application of the Company Standards and Procedures, approving or rejecting any requests to deviate from these associated Standards and Procedures. • Support activity leaders (project managers/team leaders and maintenance leaders) and contract holders in assuring that contractors and vendors design, produce, construct and commission to approved Company Standards, using approved design methods, competent personnel and effective quality systems and procedures.• Ensure all engineering deliverables produced by the electrical disciplines of the Engineering Contractor, as defined in the respective controls and assurance plans (PCAP or ACAL), comply with the approved NCOC Standards/Specifications.• Reviews and approve key engineering deliverables like SDRs/TDRs (technical deviations), engineering drawings like DS (datasheets), MRs (material requisition),CWPs (construction working packages), TQs (technical enquiry), etc.• Participate in technical verification exercises of Engineering Contractor's deliverables. • Participate in Contract Tender Evaluations to review contractor technical qualifications for executing scope of work.

Lead a team of 15 members with responsibilities and role of Electrical Field Engineer with responsibilities as follows : •Primary point of contact for all E/I engineering related issues between the construction management team and the prime contractors•Provide technical support and engineering direction to the construction management team on various design and constructability issues (RFIs, FCNs, Field design, etc.)•Perform daily inspections of ongoing work with CMT construction coordinators and quality assurance personnel•Ensure that installation and testing procedures are within contractual compliance (Canadian Electrical Code, Client Standards, etc.)•Coordinate and resolve material and installation issues with the construction management team (Speciality items and scope of work, material specifications, etc.)•Provide support to the commissioning activities (special projects, troubleshooting, vendor interface, etc.)

Lead a team of 26 members:• Provided leadership and assistance to a multidisciplinary / multicultural team of engineers responsible for the technical direction and implementation of relevant applicable codes, standards, client specifications, etc.• Monitored the engineering department progress, workload and assigned resources as per project requirements.• Resolved personnel issues and facilitated conflict resolution meetings and discussions between relevant parties.• Provided additional support as required to the Engineering Manager.

Lead a team of 12 members with responsibilities and role of Electrical Field Engineer with responsibilities as follows : • Provide technical support and engineering direction to the construction management team on various design and constructability issues (RFIs, FCNs, Field design, etc.)• Perform daily inspections / walkdowns of ongoing construction issues and activities.• Coordinate and resolve material and installation issues with the construction management team (Specialty items and scope of work, material specifications, etc.)• Insure that installation and testing procedures are within contractual compliances (Canadian Electrical Code, Suncor Standards, etc.)• Coordinate pre-commissioning activities (Point to point, equipment testing, motor bumps, switchgear/MCC energization procedures, Lockout/tag out, etc.)• Turnover support (System scoping, progress monitoring, systems completions, etc.)

• Electrical Quality Control (Installation Test Plan preparation, inspection sheet verification, compliance monitoring related to Canadian Standard Association and client standards, “as built” documents, inspection & surveillance reports, etc.)• Construction Engineering Support (engineering reviews, field engineering support, material coordination, RFI, FCN, etc.)• Subcontract Management (subcontractor supervision, bid package verification, technical assistance, etc.)• Pre-commissioning/commissioning support (Equipment testing, motor bumps, point to point, etc.)• On site IT/Technical support
