From the reconfiguration of the IRQ lines of the APIC in Windows 95 and the writing of libraries on HP-48 calculator to the implementation of USB drivers in Linux, I have always been passionate about the Operating Systems lower layers.For 18 years, I have been working as an embedded software engineer in the field of BSP and low-level runtime environments. My various positions, particularly in the industry, have provided me the opportunity to work both on high performances architectures (e.g. Cavium processors) as well as virtualized systems and architectures with high constraints on consumption, size, heat and weight, including ARM Cortex-A family based equipments. These experiences have allowed me to increase my expertise in the implementation of high performance components ranging from multi-channels DSP drivers to network processing optimization, mostly on embedded GNU/Linux architectures. Working on constrained products also trained me in project management and organization as well as working as an integrated team as well as multi-sites teams.My latest work and my passion for embedded technology allowed me, in my most recent position, to develop and architect a secure Operating System for ARM microcontrollers, with various integrated security mechanisms, such as stack protection using TRNG, formal proof on the C code or the implementation in Ada and SPARK of a secure micro-kernel. My passion also led me to have a thoughtful and posed approach to software architecture, prompted me to take into account the problem of resistance to hardware attacks (fault injection, SCA, DPA) in my implementations. My work on formal proofs allowed me to have a different vision of the specifications of standards and protocols, and how to specify and validate the implementation of such standards.Passionate about the field of embedded software and software security, I am also a contributor, then a Debian developer, since 2016, and a founding member and secretary of the H2Lab association, whose goal is to produce PoCs and tools for security, like our first hardware device allowing SCA / DPA analysis on smart cards.Always open to new solutions and technologies, open-minded and attached to the transmission of knowledge, I have always managed to carry out my projects.
