Career overviewAfter obtaining my Phd in geography and planning in 2002 on "The region and the information society" (University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès), I was recruited as a senior lecturer at the University of Le Havre Normandie. In 2005, I became co-director of Netcom ( http://netcom.revues.org). From 2007 to 2015, I chaired the "Geography of the Information Society" Commission of the CNFG. From 2016 to 2024, I was Executive Secretary of the Commission on the Geography of Information, Innovation and Technology of the International Geographical Union (IGU). In 2017, I obtained a Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) at the University of Rennes 2 ( supervisor Guy Baudelle). Following this HDR, I was hired as a professor of geography at the University of Le Havre Normandie in 2018. At the beginning of the academic year 2024, I joined the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Etienne and the UMR 5600 EVS research laboratory. In September 2024, I became Chair of the IGU Commission C16-24 "Geography of Digital Society and Connected World".Résumé de carrièreAprès avoir passé un doctorat de Géographie Aménagement en 2002 sur "La Région face à la société de l'information" (Université de Toulouse Jean Jaurès)​, j'ai été recruté à l'université Le Havre Normandie en tant que Maître de conférences. En 2005 je suis devenu co-directeur de Netcom ( http://netcom.revues.org). Entre 2007 et 2015 j'ai présidé la Commission "Géographie de la Société de l'information" du CNFG. De 2016 à 2024 , j'ai été secrétaire exécutif de la "Commission on the Geography of Information, Innovation and Technology" de l’Union Géographique Internationale (UGI). J'ai passé une Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) en 2017 à l'université de Rennes 2 (Garant Guy Baudelle). A la suite de cette HDR j'ai été recruté Professeur de Géographie à l'Université le Havre Normandie en 2018. A la rentrée 2024, j'ai rejoint l'université Jean Monnet de Saint-Etienne de même que le Laboratoire de recherche UMR 5600 EVS. En septembre 2024, je suis devenu Président de la Commission C16-24 "Geography of Digital society and Connected World " de l’UGI.
