I am a part of a five person team that developed the second EAC passport firmware. I am dealing with all firmware engineer issue: * optimization issue; * improving software design and architecture; * any hardware issue on microcontroller; * sotfmask skills; * patch skills; * specific assembly functions to code; * contactless communication library to integrate; * cryptographic libraries to integrate and to optimize; * support new features such as full extended length (reading 64kB over one APDU); * based on a another Operating SystemSo, I implemented e-passport on a secure 8bit 8051 for smart card. I coded in a secure way in C and ASM languages. I work with various departments : crypto department, contactless department, customer support department. This firmware was delivered 3 weeks over the schedule. This 2nd e-passport is far times faster than the previous one.I worked on the Common Criteria EAL 4+ (version 3.1 - www.commoncriteriaportal.org) of this firmware. I wrote the most technical part of the development documents (ADV):architecture and software countermeasure parts (ARC). It was certified on time (5 month evaluation).I managed : * in 2008, a 6 month intern about designing and coding optimize API to deal with BER format. This API is used in current developement * in 2009, a 6 month intern about designing and coding a light smart card OS, introducing IPC fully developped in B langage. A demo is running on a smart card.I designed, coded and tested the 1st softmask in my division.I trained and supported a foreign embedded developer team (Manila), to help them to be on time and to run the code as a softmask. This project was delivered 1 month ahead of schedule.I met customers about technical issues. From January 2009, I am following biometric standards and eurosmart.
Engineer In Embedded Systems / Software Development
I was working as a development engineer in the ID business unit at Oberthur Card Systems. I was a part of a four person team that developed the first EAC passport firmware. I was dealing with any hardware issue on microcontroller : memory mapping, buffer overlapping, turning on/off specific registers. So, I implemented firmware (e-passport) on a secure 8bit 8051 for smart card. I coded in a secure way in C and ASM languages. I used various cryptographic algorithms, like DES, Elleptic Curves, RSA, PKI for smart card devices. This firmware was delivered on time to be available at Cartes forum 2007 (www.cartes.com).Then, I designed, coded and tested many patchs on various native products. The patch size was from 1kB to 5kB (once compiled), mixing C and ASM.Then, I worked on the product certification. The EAC passport has been certified Common Criteria EAL 4+ (version 2.3 - www.commoncriteriaportal.org) on time (5 month evaluation). On this certification, I wrote most part of the development documents (ADV), such as the design, architecture parts (High Level Description and Low Level Description). I wrote all the documents regarding the software countermeasure too.
Engineer In Embedded Systems
My first job is to work for CSEE Transport. I am working on the TGV software for the implementation of ERTMS standard. I am reading source code to check if all the specification are presents on the code, and if the coding rules are ok too.
