    As a climate change analyst, I participate in the development and review of ministerial regulations for offset credits in the Quebec carbon market, including ministerial regulations for forestry projects. I analyze offset projects submitted for credit issuance and make recommendations for these projects. I also participate in the general development of the offset component and collaborate with Quebec's international partners in this regard. I act as an expert on offset credits for internal and external clients of the Ministry, including on the role of forests in the fight against climate change. More specifically:-I conduct literature reviews to identify best practices in ministerial offset regulations; -I evaluate the GHG emission reduction and removal potential of different types of offset projects, including carbon sequestration; - I develop new ministerial regulations for offset credits, including project eligibility and monitoring requirements, and methods for quantifying GHG emission reductions or removals; - I develop and revise various tools for the management of the offset credit component, including forms, templates, procedures and technical guides; -I analyze and make recommendations on offset credit applications submitted by Project Proponents, including the analysis of project reports and verification reports prepared by accredited verification bodies.
