"I’ll tell you what leadership is. It’s persuasion and conciliation and education and patience. It’s long, slow, tough work. That’s the only kind of leadership I know of or believe it or will practice." - Ike EisenhowerI am happy when my users are happy. All my thinking starts and ends with this thought. This is what gets me up in the morning. I think achieving a happy customer is only possible when you understand your users. Real understanding requires a certain mindset. Forming this mindset is the responsibility of leadership. I was extremely lucky to join in 2000 a startup that turned out to be a $1 billion dollar hit (https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/mtg-sells-esl-gaming-savvy-gaming-group-105-billion-2022-01-24/). After a phase of sharpening my skills in the industry as a gun-for-hire I joined larger organisations to gain experience as a manager. Now I am back in the startup space with a stop at Helsing (https://techcrunch.com/2021/11/09/daniel-eks-fund-puts-e100m-into-defence-startup-helsing-ai-to-support-democracies/) and now Qubit-9, building the next cloud provider!
