I have been fascinated by technology since my childhood. Got my first computer at the age of six, built my first wireless network with twelve. Decided to pursue a technical education and became an engineer in Innsbruck. Started working as a server admin for a local ISP developing innovative cloud services for customers in Tyrol and South Tyrol. Since that was not challenging enough, I studied computer engineering on weekends as well. After some years operating servers I realised that managing a company suits me better and so I did a master in industrial management to improve my business skills on top. Now, together with our great team in Tyrol we are connecting thousands of people in Western Austria as one of the biggest regional players to the global internet via fast growing open fiber networks. I am also involved in the field of education, both as a teacher and as a driver in the STEM discipline for the future of technology in our society. When I am not at the office, I love travelling and taking pictures from places all over the world while searching for boxes with a logbook inside...oh, almost forgotten, I have a weakness for well designed apple products ;-)
