My focus is primarily on historic and other existing structures in Kansas City and the surrounding region. I also get to mix in a few new design projects.I am familiar with antiquated structural systems from timber to mass masonry and I understand proper repair methods, keeping in mind the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. I am well versed in concrete repair, masonry repair, structural steel repair, waterproofing, and facade assesment. I regularly have several repair projects ongoing, and I believe there is always more to learn when it comes to preservation and restoration.I am routinely involved in projects for structures on the National Register of Historic Places and I have contributed to several Historic Structure Reports (HSR) for the National Park Service.PE Licensed in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Connecticut, New Jersey, Tennessee.
