About Philip Tan

Senior IT professional experienced in IT service operations, project management, Risk Management, IT planning and strategy, and technology consulting for financial services. Strategic thinker with proven execution track record. As the Head of Centre for UOB Innovation Hub 2, I’m responsible for overall establishment and growth of the Bank’s latest technology innovation and delivery centre in Malaysia. I was previously the Head of Data Governance in Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for data governance and assurance for the Consumer Banking, COO and Technology function. Key focus on providing compliance oversight of the bank’s data quality management policy and provide 2LoD guidance to the Business. I’m a PRINCE2 Practitioner certified project manager and certified MSP programme manager. I had led a number of global transformation and outsourcing projects, including the implementation of BAT Global Service Desk outsourcing implementation, where I assembled a high performing virtual team, interfaced with senior stakeholders in key markets and senior regional CIO, developed global rollout methodology and rolled out the core users group across all 4 regions, 73 countries globally.I’m a well-rounded business and people leader and have established many high performing teams in my past roles.
