I worked for the Office of Admissions at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. My primary job was to assist the marketing department with material the college sends out to prospective students.

My worked as an Admissions Ambassador has allowed me to exercise and develop my communication and public speaking skills. I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of prospective students and engage with inquiring families.

My position at the YMCA has allowed me to work hands on with young people and serve as a mentor and teacher for them. The YMCA exists so that children can improve in "spirit, mind, and body." As a basketball referee and coach I have learned to be a mentor to young athletes and have striven to help them learn the game in a constructive manner with a healthy sense of competition. Also, working as a referee and coach has undoubtedly increased my confidence in public speaking and communication. For instance, I often have to explain confusing game situations to swarms of frustrated parents and coaches--doing so has helped me grow as a confident speaker and leader.

I was the assistant director of the youth service summer camp You Got Served. The program involved recruiting underprivileged children and involving them in service learning. The two primary goals of the program were to enhance the children's' community awareness and teach them the value of higher education.

My time spent working on the grounds crew at Saint Anselm was without question a character building experience. The summers I spent at Saint Anselm gave me useful and necessary knowledge in the world of landscaping. The experience helped develop my work ethic and left me with a profound respect for landscape design and manual labor.

Most fun I've had on a Job. I look forward to exploring a similar position in retirement.
