Responsible for effective and efficient operation and maintenance of the Research and Development Section and/or Quality Control section of the Metallurgy Department.

Responsible for effective and efficient management of the operation and maintenance of the Mill Research and Development section. The section, comprising various disciplines of Engineering-- Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering, aims to provide support in the production by conducting researches, tests/evaluations, and analysis of equipment, materials, parameters and processes to improve operations and reduce operating cost.

Research and DevelopmentResponsible for the conduct of research, feasibility studies, evaluation of equipment/process, and design of process improvements to reduce cost, improve productivity and eliminate process control problems to optimize the milling operation. Conducts data analysis and metallurgical accounting for determining cause and effect, evaluating performance, and providing recommendations for improvement.Also conducts and support studies and testing for projects sustaining the longevity of mine life such as feasibility studies on use of alternative process options, and ore sources.Quality ControlResponsible for monitoring, checking, and evaluating day-to-day process condition of the mill plant to ensure normal operation and to determine possible areas of process improvements. Collects and interprets relevant data and information to assess the performance and efficiency of existing process/method.
