I work with an amazing team of people who are passionate about building great products. We use Laravel framework to build multiple products with test-driven APIs. All applications are built as single-page applications (SPAs) with Vue.js as the front end, MySQL for our databases, AWS technologies powering our server stack, and our APIs are documented using Swagger. We work in an agile scrum environment and have adopted Git flow as our version control process. I worked as a team lead on the Events platform project helping to oversee architecture design and implement coding standards.

Norton AgencyJuly 2014 – September 2014Built several client websites in Wordpress, including a membership site for Chicago Brick Oven. Helped create and work on Norton's company website. I also helped migrate their servers from cPanel RackSpace to a Digital Ocean / ServerPilot config as well as set up deployment and version control via Git.------------------------------------NokiaSeptember 2014 – February 2015Modified existing site templates on the Here Navigation platform to fix design bugs in CSS where none of the HTML could be modified. This required in-depth exercise of CSS and often creative CSS workarounds to difficult layout problems.Worked with localization config/customization in Intershop 7 adding placeholders and passthrough parameters so that sections of the site could later be translated into other languages.Worked on a team of 5 devs and 3 QA specialists to complete custom sales and product marketing pages for the Nokia HERE navigation system across 30+ different car manufacturers distribution websites.------------------------------------Protiviti / DisneyFebruary 2015 – July 2015Worked on the Disney Mobile Store using Java, JSP, Underscores.js, Spring and Backbone to create in-store reservations. Built out mock services to test the API calls before the API went live. Built an in-line SPA (single page application) to handle three views of the reservation task (select product > entering info > confirmation ). Extended the Backbone AJAX functionality to natively handle fault messages without having to write additional validation on the front end. Created a multiple-view SPA with dynamic filtering and view rendering; Which meant answering questions about how to correctly pass data to the views from the backend as well as from the DOM. Learned quite a bit about how Backbone handles event binding, rendering views, instantiating views, models and collections. Work was tasked and completed using agile/scrum method.
