- Worked in the Joint Venture department as a Representative with the intent of gaining more experience with contracts, negotiations and joint operations.- Used reservoir understanding to help negotiate the reclassification of a number of wells in an agreement that saved the company $300k in operating expenses for 2016 and $150k in operating expenses every year thereafter.- Worked with the technical asset team to ensure that any joint operations ran smoothly with partner consultations and approvals happening early in the project cycle.- Reviewed as many as 50 3rd party AFEs and Mail Ballots a week for the EOR team: o Ensured that the AFEs and Mail Ballots were following the terms set out in the contracts. o Ran economic calculations on capital expenditures which were provided to the asset teams to reduce the turn around time of their reviews. o Consulted with the legal department on any changes to contracts before providing recommendations.- Responsible for developing industry relationships with partners and 3rd party operators with the goal of increasing business and processing revenue for Enerplus.- As Chairman of the Operating Committee for facilities with CO&Os within the EOR team, developed operating and capital budget presentations and mail ballots for partners.- Acted as company representative for the non-operated properties within the EOR Team ensuring that the joint operations were of benefit to Enerplus.

- Managed the annual capital programs for 5 prospects within the S.E. Saskatchewan area, with total expenditures from $10MM to over $35MM depending on the year. As project lead for these programs I was responsible for:o Preparing project estimates for costs and timing from the greater asset team including: Drilling Engineers, Completions Engineers, Facility Engineers and our field staff.o Modeling projects with inputs from Geologists, Geophysicists and Reservoir Engineers to develop the type curve that was risked according to the type of development. Combining this with the capital costs, operating expenses and commodity price forecasts the calculation of economic metrics were preformed and analyzed to ensure that company hurdles were met.o Obtaining internal project approvals and preparing AFEs.o Maintaining the project schedule.o Entering monthly accruals.o Monthly forecasting of capital spends and capital production adds, which were measured against the budget.- Prepared team asset review presentations for the executive team that included in-depth subsurface technical analysis from the asset team.- Assisted the business development team with divestiture retention value calculations for waterflood prospects that had development potential.- Performed economic evaluations for potential acquisition assets that were close to our core operations within the team.- Prepared the long-range plans and capital budgets.- Reviewed the reserve auditor’s work to ensure that the asset team was in agreement with the evaluations.

- Managed the annual capital programs for many prospects within Alberta and S.W. Saskatchewan, with total expenditures ranging from $3MM to $5MM.- Prepared team asset review presentations for the executive team that included in-depth subsurface technical analysis from the asset team.- Prepared the long-range plans and capital budgets.- Reviewed the reserve auditors work to ensure that the asset team was in agreement with the evaluations.- Developed economic models to determine the optimal time to shut in production.

- Evaluated down spaced drill locations using reserve density plots.- Created reservoir models to help predict production changes to development and facility consolidations.- Managed and administered the internal reserves database for all of the Canadian assets.- Responsible for hierarchical changes within the reserves database that improved the evaluation process for many assets.- Created the template presentation for internal reserve reviews that was used in all asset groups.- Conducted the reserve evaluations of all of the shallow gas assets for the Exploitation Engineer on the team.

- Spent time in the field to gain an understanding of the daily operational tasks.- Worked with the Reservoir Engineers to evaluate our properties and calculate their reserves. I was responsible for the calculation of our operational expenses and reviewing the decline analysis for the wells.- Managed a well re-activation from the discovery of the potential, to the creation of an AFE, which involved obtaining estimates for the completion, pipeline and surface equipment and modeling the project economics using Value Navigator.- Created pump and rod simulations to assist in the design of rod strings and pumping systems.- Coordinated with the field operators to take board required pressure surveys during plant turnarounds to reduce downtime.- Directed field operators to test our non-serious casing vent flows so that they could be reported to the AER.

- Assisted Engineers within the asset team with their daily tasks.- Learned industry software by taking vendor courses.- Ran the calculations and created a detailed report on the economic benefit of drilling horizontal wells with multiple stage fractures in comparison to vertical wells; within a specific reservoir and area that Enerplus had only drilled vertically.
