About Philip Vachon

Philip Vachon is a third-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center, with over two years of experience in environmental law and social justice. He is currently a Student Attorney at the Georgetown Environmental Law & Justice Clinic. This summer, he was an Honors Law Clerk at the Environmental Protection Agency in the Air Enforcement Division, where he is worked to enforce American environmental laws and fight for environmental justice.In 2L, he worked as a Civil Rights Extern at Cohen Milstein, one of the nation's leading plaintiffs' firms, where he conducted legal research and drafted memos on various civil rights and employment issues, such as wage-hour laws, race discrimination, and algorithmic bias. He was also a Pro Bono Extern at the NAACP Center for Environmental and Climate Justice, where he developed research briefs and comment letters on environmental justice litigation and policy.Philip's passion for environmental law and social justice stems from his academic and extracurricular activities. He is an Executive Board Member of the Georgetown Environmental Law Review. He is also a Staff Editor on the Georgetown Environmental Law Review, where he reviews and edits submissions on cutting-edge environmental law and policy topics. He has published articles on the Library Economy movement and the RICO Act, demonstrating his analytical and writing skills. Philip graduated cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business and has a strong background in digital marketing.
