Philip Forrest AM is an Australian who has lived in the ASEAN region since 1982, and in Singapore since 1991. In 2022 he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to Australia-Singapore business relations, and he has also received the Australian Chamber of Commerce Singapore President’s Medal for his contribution to the Asia/Australia commercial relationship, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Australian Alumni Singapore.He was a member of the Governing Council of the Singapore Institute of Directors for nine years until the end of 2023 (when the constitutional term limit kicked in), and is a member of the advisory board of James Cook University Singapore Campus. He also sits on the Council of Australian Alumni Singapore.In past years he has served on the Councils of the Singapore Business Federation, the Australian Chamber of Commerce (former president), the Australia-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, the British Chamber of Commerce, The Australia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (former president) and the Association of Banks in Singapore.Philip is an independent director of several companies in the region, most recently joining the Board of SGX mainboard-listed Grand Banks Yachts Limited. He was previously Asia Head for ANZ Bank, and also spent 15 years with Citibank in Australia, USA, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
