I joined the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida as Director, TDM Program in 1993. My team's recent accomplishments include: (1) patent-pending software on GPS-enabled cell phones to track travel behavior and provide “commute coaching” advice, (2) patent-pending “Travel Assistance Device” to provide more mobility for the cognitively, (3) developed models to predict impacts of TDM including TRIMMS, “economics of TDM” model called TRIMMS and the Worksite Trip Reduction Model and Manual (4) produced guides and handbooks such as Incorporating TDM into the Land Development Process and Transportation Management Association Handbook (5) Florida Commuter Choice Certificate Program – most comprehensive TDM training program for TDM professionals in the countryI manage the National TDM and Telework Clearinghouse, co-hosts the “Learn More. Travel Less” Netconference series in partnership with the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) that has connected as many as 150 attendees in 15 locations at one time. We also created the country’s leading TDM listserv with over 1,300 subscribers.
