About Fei (Phil) Jing
As a recent Mater of Professional Accounting graduate, I have a strong interest in working at an accounting related role or at a professional service firm. During my university study, I received a credit average grade and was shortlisted as a high achieving student to give study tips to freshmen. I passed the first two levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam and am in pursuit of the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) qualification; I have improved my technical skills in the area of Microsoft Office and MYOB. I was also chosen by the University of Sydney Business School in the Industry Placement Program and had the opportunity to work as an financial intern at Henkel's Asian Pacific headquarter. where my responsibilities involved tax filing, tax and bank reconciliations, tax subsidy claims and providing assistance to external auditors during the annual audit. Another experience that really helps me enter the Australian workforce is the NEXT Innovation program-formally known as the Deloitte Innovation program, during which my teammates and I worked closely to generate innovative idea for an existing business problem. We proposed idea, conducted market research, analyse profitability potential, designed business model and finally pitched the solution for investments.Other than activities on campus, I worked part-time at a petrol station and was promoted in just a few months to assistant manager, which is my job after graduation in October. I was responsible for serving customers, handling cash and EFTPOS transactions, maintaining site policies and procedures, offering training and supervision for new employees. Socially and professionally, I was on the Sydney Socially Soccer Society and The Sydney Accounting and Auditing Association. After obtaining the Australian permanent residency, I am looking to start from the entry level and build my career in professional service.
