About Phill Kitson-Evans

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic Architect with 11 years professional experience. My interest in both art and construction led me to study Architecture and I registered as a British Architect in September 2012. Since then I have pursued my career all over the world in the UK, Hong Kong, Peru & Canada.While working in the UK and Hong Kong I gained broad experience in multiple sectors. I helped to successfully deliver projects including cultural spaces, blue light developments, national & international transport hubs and high rise residential towers. These all required delivery to a very high standard to tight deadlines.Since 2018 I have been self-employed running my practice, Yuzu Studio. The mainstay of my business over the last three years has been UK-based, creating statutory approval submissions for both Planning and Building Regulations remotely. This varied and interesting work has given me great experience in gaining planning approval in conservation areas and the current UK Building Regulations as a whole. Running my own practice has also given me the freedom to win my own projects. The most significant of these being the renovation of an existing chapel into a three bedroom home using Passivhaus standards. This was a wonderful project with a great result combining my passion for reusing buildings and sustainable construction.Running my own business has been a great experience from which I have learned a lot. I would now like to take these new skills and apply them within a company setting.
