Phil Davidson is an experienced Supply Chain and Integrated Logistics specialist who has worked in the Naval Defence industry for over 35 years.He began his professional career in the UK as a government apprentice, progressing through various roles including production manager responsible for factory workshops, constructive trades within surface ships and nuclear submarine refitting. He has spent over 15 years managing shipyard infrastructure, facility cost reduction initiatives, and business improvement projects, including major projects for the development of the submarine planning and production principles that are still in use today, both in the UK and internationally.Phill was part of the team that successfully transitioned from Her Majesty’s Naval Base Devonport, a government-managed organization, to the commercial sector in 1987, under administration by Devonport Management Limited (DML). DML would later become a part of the Babcock International Group in 2007, with Phil also transitioning to the new organization.He relocated to Canada in 2009, and was responsible for developing and delivering submarine equipment maintenance, procurement & supply chain in support of the Victoria in-Service Support Contract (VISSC), which provides full in-service support to Canada’s fleet of four diesel electric submarines. Phill currently holds the position of Integrated Logistical Supply (ILS) Director and manages cross-country teams located in all Babcock Canada locations: Victoria, Ottawa and Halifax. He is responsible for equipment supportability and all supply chain activities at Babcock Canada. He is also accountable for the efficient integration of Babcock Canada’s supply chain with that of the parent company, Babcock International Group.
